Last month, we made our way back to Argentina, a place that feels both familiar and full of discovery. For Renata, it’s a return to her family roots; for both of us, it’s a place where the things we love about sobremesa, gathering, lingering, sharing good food and stories come naturally.

We came looking for the people and places behind the beautiful things we bring to the table. What we found was a journey through bustling city streets, historic towns, family workshops, and generations of makers who still believe in the beauty of making things by hand.

Come along with us.

In Argentina, craft is everywhere. We discovered beautifully woven textiles, hand-shaped wood, and distinctive pieces made with techniques that feel both timeless and entirely their own.

In Buenos Aires, we returned to the fourth-generation leather factory that is part of Renata’s family. It’s where the leather tabletop pieces in our collection are made, continuing a family tradition of craftsmanship that spans generations. Being there, surrounded by the people and process behind each piece, made that connection feel especially meaningful.

Further north, we found artisans working with wood and traditional weaving techniques, creating pieces that carry the character of the region and the hands that made them.

These are the kinds of discoveries we travel for, the unexpected details, the makers who keep traditions alive, and the beauty of craft that brings something special to the table.

For us, that’s what makes these pieces meaningful. They carry the spirit of the people, places, and traditions behind them and bring a little of that story to our own tables.
