A Natural Pairing: Sobremesa Home at Olivier Napa Valley
Some things just belong together.
We’re excited to share that Sobremesa Home is now at Olivier Napa Valley, a destination we’ve long loved for its delicious olive oils, gourmet foods, and everything that makes gathering around the table a little more special.
It feels like a natural fit. Olivier celebrates the pleasures of good food and the table, while Sobremesa Home is all about the moments that happen around it.
You’ll find a selection of our California-made stoneware at Olivier, including our Tapenade Bowls, Cracker Bowls, and Olive Pinch Bowls, pieces designed for olives, dips, spreads, and all those little things that make sharing a meal feel special.
We love the idea of these pieces sitting alongside the ingredients that fill them. A bowl of olives passed around the table. Crackers ready to share. A favorite tapenade served alongside a good glass of wine. Simple things, but often the details that turn a meal into a gathering.
And now you can find Sobremesa at all four Olivier locations: Napa Valley, Carmel, Laguna Beach, and Palm Desert.
If you’re visiting Olivier Napa Valley, stop in, explore the collection, and find a little Sobremesa Home for your own table.
Good food. Beautiful things. More reasons to gather.

Brasswood Cellars Partners with Sobremesa Home
Some collaborations just make sense.
Our collaboration with Brasswood Napa Valley Cellars brings together two things we love: good wine and gathering around the table.
Located in the heart of Napa Valley, Brasswood is a place where wine, food, and hospitality come together. It felt like a natural setting for Sobremesa, a place to slow down, share a meal, linger over a glass of wine, and enjoy the people around you.
We’re excited to bring Sobremesa Home to Brasswood with a pop-up in their café, where you can discover a selection of our handcrafted tabletop pieces and globally curated finds. From stoneware made here in California to distinctive pieces sourced from artisans around the world, the collection is all about creating a table that feels inviting and made for gathering.
As part of the collaboration, we also had the pleasure of sharing Sobremesa pieces with Brasswood’s Wine Club Special Events members.
It was a wonderful opportunity to bring our two worlds together and give their members something beautiful to enjoy at their own table.
For us, this collaboration is about more than the products. It’s about creating opportunities to gather, share, and savor the moment, and
bringing a little more of the Sobremesa feeling to Napa Valley.
Come by Brasswood. See you there.

The Table is Just the Beginning
We’ve been thinking a lot about the moments we want more of: long dinners, another glass of wine, stories that somehow keep getting better, and evenings that make you forget to look at the clock.
That feeling is at the heart of Sobremesa Home.
Inspired by the Spanish tradition of sobremesa, our brand is about what happens when the meal is over but no one is ready to leave. It’s the lingering, the laughter, the conversation, and the simple joy of being together.
We created Sobremesa Home to bring a little more of that feeling to the table. We seek out beautifully made pieces with character, craftsmanship, and a story—from artisans around the world to pieces we make here in California. Each one is chosen to help create a table that feels inviting and a gathering that feels special.
Our new website is a place to explore that world. You’ll find our collections, the stories behind the pieces, and inspiration for creating a table that feels like your own.
The beauty of the table is in what happens around it. In the people who gather, the time shared, the laughter that fills the room, and the moments we wish could last just a little longer.
That’s what we hope Sobremesa Home brings to your table.
Not just beautiful pieces, but a feeling, a table that feels warm and inviting, a setting that makes people want to settle in, and a little more space for enjoying the moment.
Bring that feeling home. Set the table, gather your people, and make it your own.

Welcome to Sobremesa Home.
Set the table. Gather your people. Stay awhile.

Sobremesa Home on the Coqueta table, San Francisco
We love seeing our pieces out in the world, especially when they find their way to a table where they feel right at home.
That’s what happened with Coqueta in San Francisco.
Coqueta is a Spanish-inspired restaurant where the food, wine, and atmosphere all invite you to slow down and enjoy yourself.
Plates are meant to be shared, wine is poured generously, and the energy around the table makes you want to stay for just one
more bite. It felt like a pretty perfect place for Sobremesa.
Some of our pieces are now part of the Coqueta tables, bringing a little of our California-made craftsmanship and globally
inspired collection into their dining experience. And honestly, there’s something really special about seeing pieces we created
become part of someone else’s gathering. It’s also a meaningful connection to the tradition behind our name. Sobremesa is the
Spanish tradition of staying around the table after a meal, talking, laughing, finishing the wine, and enjoying the people you’re
with. That’s exactly the kind of experience we hope our pieces help create.
So if you find yourself at Coqueta, take a look around the table. You might spot a little Sobremesa there.
And when dinner is over, don’t rush.
Stay for the conversation.

The Sobremesa Collection
We’ve always believed that the things around the table can help set the tone for a gathering.
It’s the simple details that make a table feel inviting and inspire people to settle in. That’s where the Sobremesa Collection began.
Inspired by sobremesa, the Spanish tradition of lingering after a meal, enjoying goodconversation, and simply being together, we
wanted to create a collection for those moments. We bring together handcrafted pieces made here in California, including our
stoneware for charcuterie, and everyday gatherings, alongside beautifully made pieces we discover from artisans around the world.
Hand-painted wine glass from Poland waiting to be poured, a beautifully crafted serving piece, each has its own character and
brings something special to the table. We look for things that are beautiful, but also meant to be used and enjoyed. Pieces you
reach for when friends are coming over, when there’s something to share, or when an ordinary evening turns into a long one.
Because for us, it’s never been about what’s on the table. It’s about what happens around it. The people who gather, the
conversation that continues, and that feeling of wanting to embrace these moments when the connection deepens and no one
is quite ready to leave.
That’s the feeling we hope to bring to your table.

The Sobremesa Collection grew out of our own love of gathering. We wanted pieces that felt beautiful and special, but also relaxed pieces we’d reach for when friends come over, when the table gets filled, and when dinner turns into a long evening.
We believe the things around the table help create the feeling of the moment. A beautiful serving piece, a handwoven textile, a candleholder and small details that make the table feel inviting and give people a feeling of comfort to settle in.

The collection is our invitation to bring that feeling into your own home, to gather your people, linger a little longer, and enjoy the beauty of being together.
Come sit. Stay awhile.
Discovering the Artistry of Argentina
Last month, we made our way back to Argentina, a place that feels both familiar and full of discovery. For Renata, it’s a return to her family roots; for both of us, it’s a place where the things we love about sobremesa, gathering, lingering, sharing good food and stories come naturally.
We came looking for the people and places behind the beautiful things we bring to the table. What we found was a journey through bustling city streets, historic towns, family workshops, and generations of makers who still believe in the beauty of making things by hand.
Come along with us.

In Argentina, craft is everywhere. We discovered beautifully woven textiles, hand-shaped wood, and distinctive pieces made with techniques that feel both timeless and entirely their own.
In Buenos Aires, we returned to the fourth-generation leather factory that is part of Renata’s family. It’s where the leather tabletop pieces in our collection are made, continuing a family tradition of craftsmanship that spans generations. Being there, surrounded by the people and process behind each piece, made that connection feel especially meaningful.
Further north, we found artisans working with wood and traditional weaving techniques, creating pieces that carry the character of the region and the hands that made them.
These are the kinds of discoveries we travel for, the unexpected details, the makers who keep traditions alive, and the beauty of craft that brings something special to the table.

For us, that’s what makes these pieces meaningful. They carry the spirit of the people, places, and traditions behind them and bring a little of that story to our own tables.
Celebrating Exceptional Craftsmanship
At Sobremesa Home, we share a passion for celebrating exceptional craftsmanship and the stories behind the pieces we bring to the table. We’re proud to highlight Argentina’s rich heritage of handmade craftsmanship, while continually discovering talented artisans, makers, and partners from around the world who share our appreciation for quality, tradition, and thoughtful design.

In Buenos Aires, we visited the Tosone workshop, where we spent time with Luciano, Renata’s cousin and a fourth-generation leather craftsman. Walking into a workshop halfway around the world and being greeted by family made the experience especially meaningful.
Tosone has been handcrafting leather goods since the 1930s. Sitting with Luciano and his team, talking through materials, design, and the pieces we were creating for Sobremesa Home, gave us a deeper appreciation for the skill and care behind each one.
That same appreciation for making things by hand is at the heart of what we do here in California. From our leather pieces made in Argentina to our stoneware handcrafted in California, we look for makers who care deeply about their materials and their craft.
Different places, different traditions, but a shared belief: beautiful things are worth making by hand.

Our curated collection from Argentina celebrates generations of artisans and the country’s rich cultural heritage. From woven textiles to hand-crafted leather, each piece reflects a timeless sense of place, craftsmanship, and tradition.
